Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Trust as a Senior Clinical Fellow within our excellent Acute Medicine department, there are two fixed term post's available one for 18 months and one ASAP until August 2024. The Senior Clinical Fellow will have opportunities to further their knowledge through exposure to clinics, ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and formal teaching. The post holders will be encouraged to participate in audits, presentations, and teachings. In addition we offer a weekly speciality skill session aligned to the successful applicants personal development plan. These posts are particularly aligned to the attainment of the new IM3 level competencies which are required for application to higher speciality medical training in the UK. There will be study leave and funding available.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside others in managing elective and emergency patients. Initial resuscitation and management of all emergency patients presenting to the department. Initiation of the necessary investigation of patients and the referral to the relevant on-call specialist team when indicated.o will be involved in the day-to-day care of all patients who remain on the AMU. Participate on the on take general medicine rota, providing support to the oncall medical team in new admissions and out of hours cover to the hospital. Bespoke speciality skill session (half day) aligned to personal development plan.
