Job summary

We are recruiting for a Pharmacist Specialist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You'll be part of a team that provides clinical services to the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre (LMCC) and you'll also provide aseptics support to the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist and patient focused pharmacy service to the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre (LMCC) whilst based across PMU and LMCC on a rotational basis.

To be an active member of both the PMU team and the LMCC team to help meet the overall strategic objectives of the teams in the provision of pharmaceutical care for cancer patients.

To provide expert advice on oncology pharmacy issues including clinical, funding, and prescribing issues

To support Lister Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit in order to provide an efficient service to LMCC and other clients.

To undertakes risk management and ensures compliance with medicines legislation.

To carry out general dispensing and associated clinical and pharmaceutical duties and to assist with the provision of the pharmaceutical service to the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

To provide teaching and day to day supervision of junior clinical pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy support staff.
