Job summary
We are looking to recruit to a Specialty Doctor post in Stroke Medicine, this post is available from February 2024, with 1 Supporting Programmed Activity per week to focus on your own development. As a Trust we have a proven track record in support doctors to complete their CESR and then go on to take a Consultant post with the Trust, so this could be your ideal next step?
Main duties of the job
This is a substantive appointment, based predominantly at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The post comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs), which could be modified for a candidate preferring to work 10 PAs or less than full time.

- College Membership (MRCP) or qualification of an equivalent level
Previous Experience

- Shall have completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or Shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
- Demonstrate an interest in, commitment to and have broad experience in Stroke Medicine
- Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion
- Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
