Job summary
We are recruiting for a Fetal Medicine Support Midwifewho shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will act as a deputy to the Band 7 fetal medicine specialist midwife to meet their responsibility to lead the service in relation to fetal medicine based on current evidence-based research and ensuring an optimum level of safe and effective care.

Main duties of the job
You will offer specialist advice on aspects of screening and diagnosis to women and health professionals.
Work with the fetal medicine specialist midwife to ensure a high-quality fetal medicine service taking into account the national standards and the Hospital's responsibility to meet their key performance indicators.
Contribute to robust recording and tracing of information and results, audit, training, guideline development and monitoring of mandatory quality standards.
Assist the fetal medicine specialist midwife to ensure that guidance and recommendations are followed and implemented as appropriate. In collaboration with the Specialist midwife the potholder will manage safe and effective service provision within the fetal medicine programme and escalate concerns to the Midwifery Matron with overall responsibility for the fetal medicine service.
Act as a role model both to promote the trust values and maintain high standards of maternity service provision. This includes proactively supporting all members of the maternity team by providing professional clinical guidance and advice.
