Job summary
We are recruiting for a Service Supervisor who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You are expected to repair and maintain a wide range of electrical/electronic and electromechanical medical equipment used in high demand areas such as operating theatres and general wards and departments in the hospital.

Main duties of the job
As a senior field engineer, you are responsible for delivering maintenance and technical services to key customers including private and community healthcare organisations.
You will plan and implement preventative service programs of the customers' medical devices with the aim to achieve the agreed maintenance compliance targets to meet CQC regulations and the customer expectations.
You are also required to perform the repair of a wide range portfolio of medical devices including dealing with related technical problems that are not limited the devices alone.
You will solve issues related to medical devices' IT connectivity and medical systems' data cleansing & secure deletion.
As a principal engineer in the section, you take responsibility in leading in several of the key areas of equipment repair and maintenance and connectivity and supervise other staff to achieve the project aim.
You also make a significant contribution to the policies and procedures used by the Section, the development of the services.

Essential
- BSc/BEng degree in a relevant engineering subject such as Medical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and/or relevant technical/scientific degree
- Specialist technical training in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of medical devices used in the community and private hospitals
Desirable
- Degree Level 2:1 or higher
- MSc/MEng degree
Previous Experience
Essential
- 3 years' experience as a field engineer providing services to key customers
- 4 years practical experience in repairing and maintaining electronic and electro-mechanical devices used in hospitals
- 3 years' experience in supervising and assisting in the management of a significant aspect of equipment repair and maintenance service programs and troubleshooting IT networks
Desirable
- Experience in Endoscopy and Imaging equipment is an advantage

- Able to effectively repair and maintain a wide range of medical devices
