We are recruiting for a Lead Chief Cardiac Physiologistwho shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Department includes ACU , 2 Cathlabs within the Lister Hospital site. Providing 2 Diagnostic units at Lister and QE2 Hospital sites, one of which is a Echocardiogram Community Diagnostic Hub.
The department is multi-disciplinary and involves every aspect of a patient's journey with a clearly defined management and nursing structure.
The Echocardiography service offers adult trans-thoracic echocardiography 7 days a week. We support routine outpatient and inpatient TTE's and a Consultant led TOE, Exercise and Pharmacological Stress echo service. We have recently developed a Herceptin clinic for Oncology patients and are looking to set up a Valve clinic working alongside the Specialist Nurses and Physicians.
The Echo team are heavily involved in staff training with a strong development program in place for both Physiologist's and Cardiology Registrars which has resulted in a high success rate for Accreditation.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for the operational management of the Cardiac Physiologists services for the department of Cardiology, a regional service that sits within the unplanned division
Provide visible, inclusive and approachable leadership for the individual specialist teams patients and families in the Clinical Physiology service.
You will inspire and motivate others, enabling the individual specialist teams to have the skills, authority, and autonomy they need to continuously improve the services, patient safety and experience.
Monitor activity related to their service area, ensuring that the key performance indicators, including improving quality and experience of care, increasing productivity and efficiency in line with best practice standards are met
