East and North Hertfordshire Trust are looking for an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Officer to join the team. This post will offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge in the arena of Emergency Planning with relevant training courses provided.
The post holder will be supporting the Head of Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response in the development and implementation of all arrangement relating to the Trusts preparedness for and resilience to, significant incidents and emergencies as defined in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, Health, and Social Care Act 2012 and within the associated EPRR guidance and regulations including the NHS England annual Core Standards assurance.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as a deputy to the Head of Emergency Planning Resilience and Response (EPRR) to ensure that the Trust as a Category 1 Responder is compliant with the statutory requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), NHS England EPRR Framework 2022, The NHS England Core Standards for EPRR and the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
The post holder will assist with the interpretation of legislation and guidance in order to develop, implement or aid others with the implementation of Trust-wide corporate policies and procedures and support in the development and implementation of EPRR plans.
They will attend and deputise for the Head of EPRR at internal meetings and multi-agency external meetings and exercises as and when directed.
Supporting and lead on elements of the EPRR training programme.
The post holder will support the Head of EPRR with specialist advice and support to the Trust's Executive Leadership Team in all matters relating to emergency planning and business continuity and a first-line tactical responder in any emergency this will involve flexible working pattern in the event of an incident
