Job summary
We are recruiting for a 2nd Line Advanced Digital Support Engineer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
To provide a constant high level of technical knowledge covering all aspects of support for the Trust approved desktop environment, both hardware and software. The post holder will also supervise other members of the desktop team based at their location.
The post holder will also deputise for the Desktop Support Manager in their absence

Main duties of the job
Be technical or specialist resource within Digital and as such will have, or will develop, advanced technical knowledge in one or more key areas, and be able to provide advice and expertise.
Requires a high level of technical competence or specialty, good analytical skills, an ability to convey technical or specialty ideas to other Trust staff and management, an ability to organize plans and execute them and an ability to work unsupervised without reference to a manager.
Will be responsible for supervising more junior members of staff.
Support the senior 2nd Line Digital Support Engineers in the delivery of a quality Digital 2nd line support service to agreed levels.
Support the 2nd Line IT Support Lead in continually reviewing activities to ensure that the most effective mode of operation is always achieved.
Continued expansion of skills and knowledge for all PC based operating systems and application software used by the Trust to allow the post holder provide a higher level of support
