Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Clinical Research Funding Officer , to join the Research Office at Lister Hospital.
The main purpose of the role is to support the clinical research team with all aspects of clinical trials administration, from according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and trust policies.
The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Trial Coordinators, Research Nurses and wider Clinical Research Team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a clear understanding of issues relating to management of clinical research in the NHS.
- Responsible for the efficient and timely costings and set up of all clinical trials and research studies at ENHT working jointly with the appropriate Clinical Trial Co-ordinator/ Finance Manager.
- Responsible for helping teams track / raise invoices with oversight of financial accounts. Liaising with the Deputy R&D Manager, R&D Manager & the Assistant R&D Finance Manager
- Responsible for monitoring administration of research & funds and confirming that appropriate payments are made, including remuneration of staff by liaising with the R&D Manager & the R&D Finance Manager
- Responsible for maintaining databases/spreadsheets and production of monthly progress reports on recruitment.
- Workforce planning to manage trial activity ensuring case report form completion and amendment processing meets internal and external deadlines.
- Oversee quality assurance of all trial related documentation in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Working closely with the R&D Manager and Deputy R&D Manager to ensure preparation for audit and inspections.
