Job summary

This is a fixed term appointment for a period of 4 months, to commence on 6th April 2022 until 2nd August 2022. The post is based at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood, London.This is an excellent opportunity within the Clinical Oncology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The post holder will provide care for cancer in-patients and will be closely supervised by the oncology consultants and specialist trainees.

Main duties of the job

  • You will review and supervise patients attending for chemotherapy and review acutely unwell patients and provide medical support to the nursing team.
  • You will liaise with the wider hospital to ensure best care of cancer patients as part of the commitment to AOS delivery.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the principles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and managing acute oncological emergencies.
