We are seeking consultants with enthusiasm, commitment and drive to work closely with colleagues throughout the organisation and within the community to help lead the organisation. We are looking for a Consultant in Neurology! Could this be YOU? This is a substantive appointment, based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage with some sessions held across the trusts sites. The post comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs) without any on-call commitment.The Trust has a comprehensive programme of leadership mentoring available for newly qualified Consultants. Opportunities are also available to other Consultant appointees to play an active part in the programme.Please note: That as part of the selection process you will be required to undertake a psychometric assessment which is mandatory, there are no right or wrong answers and the aim of this is to give the panel members more information into the strengths and possible de-railers of candidates preferred behaviours.

Main duties of the job

This is an excellent opportunity within the Neurology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. It is a replacement post to provide comprehensive general neurology outpatient services and to assist in the prompt review of inpatients with acute neurological problems. There are close links between E&N Herts NHS Trust and the regional neuroscience centres at both the Royal Free Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square with the opportunity to attend formal continuing professional development (CPD) activity there.

Qualifications

  • College Membership (MRCP) or qualification of an equivalent level
  • Advanced Life Support or demonstration of ability to achieve ALS immediately upon appointment
