As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare, we are looking for a compassionate, driven and dedicated Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team in the Children's cross site Outpatient Departments.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the children's outpatient nursing team.
You will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of patient care and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the delivery of services. This role offers the perfect balance between leadership, clinical expertise, and hands-on nursing care.
Lead and manage a team of nurses within the Children's Outpatient Department.
Provide expert clinical care and guidance to the team, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
Coordinate the delivery of high-quality outpatient services for children and their families.
Work closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for all patients.
Promote evidence-based practice, ensuring continuous improvement in care delivery.
Support the development and mentorship of junior staff and nursing students.
Manage patient flow, appointment scheduling, and ensure smooth operational management of the department.
