Band 2/3 - Healthcare Support Worker, Children’s Outpatients

Job summary

As we grow and promote better patient care and experience, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and innovative Healthcare Support Workerto join our Children's Outpatients Team.

The working hours are either 09:00-17:00 or 08:30-16:30, but there may be occasional adjustments to accommodate clinic schedules,and will be required to work across site between Watford and Hemel Hempstead Children's Outpatients.

Main duties of the job

We are very proud of our teams and the great quality care we give to our children and families.

We are looking for self-motivated, organised, adaptable, friendly candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who will be able to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment.

Previous experience working with children or as a Healthcare Support Worker is essential.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Helping to run the clinics, and knowing all the different needs for each speciality.
  • Restocking the trolleys, and consultation rooms.
  • Helping to keep the department a safe place for the children to play while there for their appointment.
  • ECG's for patients.
