Job summary
The Band 6 - IT Contracts and Finance Lead is to support the Head of IT Supplier Management in managing the portfolio of IT contracts and report on the fixed and variable charges from each contract to ensure that the monthly billing cycles are accurate, informed and up to date.
Develop West Herts third-party supplier relationships, with all major IT system suppliers.
The post holder will ensure the production of accurate and timely reports on contracting to both internal and external stakeholders against standards and expectations.
The postholder will provide specialist advice on mitigating and managing risk within contracts entered into by the Trust, minimising the Trust's exposure to financial, clinical, reputational, performance and business risk.
You will have a breadth of knowledge, from raising purchases orders, knowing how to conduct a ledger account reconciliation and how to negotiate and reach agreement to the monthly 'statement of account' with each supplier.
The postholder will work closely with the Finance Team to ensure contract costings are correct and cover the entire costs to the Trust of providing the service.

Main duties of the job
Play a central role in communication, building understanding and increasing adoption of major IT Contracts across the organisation.
Communicates ICT legal and commercial concepts clearly; develops and delivers formal, complex presentations to Executive stakeholders.
Lead on the reporting of the fixed and variable charges from each contract and liaise with the finance team.
The post holder is the first point of contact for our suppliers so relationship building, good communications both written and verbal are essential in order to resolve complex queries and ensure payments are made promptly.
