Job summary

We are looking for somebody who can multitask and work in a highly pressured environment and remain calm in all situations, with good communication skills.

The trauma and orthopaedic theatres cover both elective and emergency surgery.

You will be required to work 3 x 12.5-hour shifts.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the assessment of care needs, planning, delivering, and evaluating a high standard of nursing care.

Contributing to the safe and efficient running of the operating theatre department, through the acceptance of agreed additional responsibilities.

An accomplished communicator able to contribute, implement and evaluate clinical and professional standards.

Initiating and developing evidence-based practice ensuring all staff are aware of current issues and changes.

Ensuring the administration and documentation of drugs is in accordance with Trust policy.
