Job summary

A fantastic job opening has opened for the role of Band 7- Estates Manager Electrical.

As directed by the Head of Engineering the post holder will be responsible for providing specialist technical and electrical advice to the day-to-day management of the Trust's buildings with regard to breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance and minor works projects whilst providing expert advice on all aspects of Estates Specialist Services.

Responsible for the management of a Multi Disciplinary Estates Services Team providing maintenance services on all sites owned, leased or maintained by WHHT.

Partake in the Estates Manager On Call rota.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible and accountable for Estates services compliance with the requirements of HTM's, HBN's, British Standards, Model Specifications and all Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice and Trust Policies.

Review and develop policies for engineering maintenance. Responsible for estates operations policies, to be implemented Trust wide.

Be accountable for the provision of a Multi Disciplinary Estates service providing maintenance services on sites owned, leased or maintained by the Trust.

Line Manager for engineering operations staff.

Responsible for ensuring that maintenance services are provided in accordance with NHS documentation determining the most cost-effective methods for maintaining the Estate.

Responsibility for site budgets, liaise with Head of Estates and Finance.

Able to make judgements across a wide range of Estates issues taking into account current legislation, policies and procedures, Health and Safety, conflicting demands, condition of plant and equipment and complex fault finding.

Content of expert advice on estates operations matters.

Good concentration levels required for paperwork and dealing with operational emergencies.

On occasions ability to use tools and equipment when required to do so.
