Job summary
This is an opportunity to join a busy and established management team in the division of Medicine.
As the Assistant Divisional Manager for Rheumatology, Endocrine & Diabetes you will work alongside the Divisional Manager to develop the Division's strategic and operational agenda and contribute towards the overall achievement of the Trust's strategy, targets and operational objectives.
This is an exciting and demanding role that will require a wide range of skills to deliver an efficient and effective service to ensure the best possible care for patients. You will occasionally be faced with significant challenges, and effective delivery will rely on your ability to demonstrate leadership and innovative practice when supporting clinical and administrative staff across each aspect of the service.
The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for the Assistant Service Manager and be responsible for the delivery and performance management of the services. Additional specific responsibilities and requirements can be found on the attached Job Description.

Main duties of the job
- Assist the Divisional Manager in developing the Division's strategic and operational agenda.
- Contribute towards the overall achievement of the Trust's strategy, targets and operational objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day business management of the Rheumatology, Endocrine and Diabetes services across the Trust.
- Work with Clinical Leads and Divisional team to align with Trust, ICB and Divisional strategies.
- Participate in managing the planned and emergency aspects of the services that also involve the Rheumatology, Endocrinology and Diabetes services.
- Work alongside a wide range of clinical and admin teams to support the Directorates within the Division
