Job summary

Are you a Clinical Coding Auditor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy?

We're searching for an exceptional Clinical Coding Auditor to join our thriving team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

This is a full-time position covering 37.5 hours a week. We welcome great talent from all backgrounds and provide a flexible work environment and hybrid working options focused on positivity and progress

  • Experience conducting coding audits applying the rules and conventions of the coding classifications and adhering to the Approved Auditor Code of Conduct.
  • Experience in drafting recommendations for improvement in coding quality and producing formal audit reports for presentation to the senior managers and clinicians.
  • Experience communicating audit feedback to the team members with empathy and respect for improvement and enhanced performance.
  • Good working knowledge of commissioning requirements in NHS including NTPS and HRGs.
  • Excellent time management skills -ability to work accurately and productively under pressure to meet deadlines and to produce audit reports at short notice.
  • Experience participating in coding validation meetings with clinicians.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
