Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Paediatrician with Specialist Interest in Paediatric Diabetes.
This 10PA post is for a substantive consultant Paediatrician with Specialist Interest in Paediatric Diabetes at the West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, based across Watford General and Hemel Hempstead General Hospitals.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of individuals devoted to providing the very best care for our patients.
Applicants must have full GMC registration and on the GMC's Specialist Register (via CCT or CESR) or within 6 months of the interview.
MRCPCH or Equivalent is essential. CCT/CESR in Paediatrics with CYP Diabetes SPIN accreditation.

Main duties of the job
Consultant Paediatrician with Specialist Interest in Paediatric Diabetes.
The post holder will be expected to participate in the 1 in 12 acute paediatric rota with 1:12 attending weeks, with daily ward rounds and cover for Starfish ward Tuesdays-Mondays 08:30-18:00. The post holder will be required to participate in the acute on call rota for Paediatrics 1 in 12 from 18:00 till 08.30 weekdays and split weekend cover 1 in 6. Weekend cover includes a morning and evening ward round on Starfish ward and PAU.
