Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse Based in Dermatology at Watford General Hospital on a part time (25.5 hours), substantive contract.
Reporting to the Senior Dermatology Specialist Nurse, the post holder will undertake training to become a Dermatology Specialist Nurse, able to support the Dermatology clinicians in providing high standards of cancer care and patient education.
Main duties of the job
To develop an understanding of Dermatology Cancer treatments and procedures.
To learn and become proficient in assisting Minor Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
To learn and become proficient in nurse led treatments including Photodynamic therapy, Cryotherapy and Medical Photography.
To learn and become proficient in Surgical Woundcare and Leg Ulcer management.
