Job summary
We have two part time Radiographic Department Assistant roles available; 30hours per week and 22.5 hours per weekto join our Radiology team at West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust.
Duties include welcoming all patients and service users to the department.
Administrative processes for examination completion and managing the patient flow through the department.
Main duties of the job
The duties and responsibilities of the post holder are to be an effective member of the Radiology team, providing a high standard of imaging service to our patients and Radiology staff colleagues.
This post is ideal for strong communicators who enjoy being part of a close-knit team, whilst maintaining wider professional relationships with many disciplines within the hospital.
The successful candidate maybe required to work across the three WHTH sites; Watford general hospital, St Albans City Hospital & Hemel Hempstead Hospital.

Preparing the examination rooms and equipment for interventional cases.
Assisting the Radiologists and Radiographers during procedures.
Booking patients in for their examinations and directing to the relevant sub waiting areas.
Answering telephone queries and other general clerical duties.
Assisting with the transfer teams to move and direct patients around the department.
Working hours include a mixture of days and weekends with some evening requirements.
