Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Stroke Physician to join their renowned growing team.

This post will be primarily based at Watford General Hospital where all the clinical sessions will occur. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, friendly stroke team of Stroke Consultants and be part of the larger medicine for the Elderly department.

Main duties of the job

This is a 10 PA job made up of 8.5PA of inpatient and outpatient services, including support of the Stroke thrombolysis service (9:00-17:00), provision of ward rounds on the hyper-acute and acute Stroke Unit and participation in Stroke outpatient and TIA clinics.

Stroke thrombolysis outside these hours is provided in conjunction with the East of England Telemedicine Service.
