Due to maternity leave, we have an exciting working opportunity in our Outpatient Women's Health/Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service based at the West Hertfordshire Therapy Unit, Jacketts Field, Abbots Langley.
This is a static, fixed term, Band 6 Physiotherapy role.
We would welcome applications from staff looking for either full time or part time opportunities. (Full time, 37.5 hours, 7 month post. Or part time, 22.5 hours, 12 month post).
The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic Outpatient Physiotherapy Team seeing a range of women's health/pelvic health presentations, gaining a wealth of experience, and further developing clinical assessment and treatment skills within this specialist area.
We are looking for a band 5 or band 6, who ideally has had some previous experience in this specialism, and is wishing to further develop in a fixed term static position.

Main duties of the job
You will be working in a busy, friendly outpatient department seeing GP, Consultant, and Enhanced Community Gynaecology Service referrals, undertaking assessment and treatment face to face, but also virtually as/when appropriate. Typical caseload may include patients presenting with urinary incontinence, over active bladder, faecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, post natal perineal injuries, pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction.

We also offer in-service training opportunities and experience will be gained in the supervision of Band 5 Physiotherapist/other junior staff members as well as Physiotherapy students. To communicate with relevant colleagues, MDT members, and patients, relatives and carers in order to facilitate a team approach to patient care.
To hold responsibility for own case load, working without direct supervision.
To be responsible for supervision, education and assessment of more junior physiotherapists, students, and clerical staff.
To undertake evidence-based audit and to assist in the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.
To participate in virtual consultation model, when required.
To participate in an extended hours and 7 day working pattern, once/if implemented.
