Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Information and Performance Analysis team at West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust as a full time (37.5 hours a week) Band 7 Clinical Practice Group Senior Information Analyst on a permanent basis.
WHHT, is engaged in an exciting programme of work to standardise clinical pathways through the development of Clinical Practice Groups (CPG) with the aim of reducing unwarranted variation in pathways. The CPG programme is currently developing and implementing clinical care pathways and plans to reach 40 fully developed and costed clinical care pathways.
This is a key role which will support, develop and enable the effective use of information within the Trust and specifically within the CPGs and provide analytical support to 2 clinical divisions.
Main duties of the job
The post will lead the information support element of the WHHT CPG programme using appropriate Quality Improvement methodologies.
We are looking for a talented and innovative individual with strong problem solving, organisational, and communication skills, who is highly numerate and has experience of analysing large datasets, ideally within the NHS environment.
You will be pro-active with a flexible approach to work, have excellent IT skills, including recent use of MS Excel and SQL, and proficient abilities in data manipulation and presentation.
You will have opportunity to learn about Quality improvement (QI) methodology and advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
