Job summary
To manage a huge variety of electrical services including repairs, planned preventative maintenance and improvement request works in accordance with relevant legislative standards and operational procedures to ensure the continuous serviceability of the mechanical environment.
Main duties of the job
To support the Head of Engineering in the provision of a high quality, responsive, flexible and cost-effective electrical services to Maidstone and Tonbridge Wells Hospital (MTW)
To deputise for the Head of Engineering in their absence in relation to all electrical matters and any other issues as and when required
To act as the Authorised Person for the management of HV/LV and electrical safety for the Trust.

- Extensive knowledge gained through many years working in the Electrical Industry
- Knowledge of the application of: Health and Safety legislation, ACOPs, guidance and rules, NHS technical standards (e.g. Health Technical Memoranda) and Trust policies, and where required, a readiness to train.
- Knowledge of and commitment to continuing professional development through on-the-job and/or residential training in order to install, test, maintain, and repair building services in a healthcare environment. As required, to be assessed and appointed as a register Authorised Person in specialism(s) related to the post
