The Kent Oncology Centre is a leading radiotherapy service delivered at our Canterbury and Maidstone sites. All Radiotherapy patients require a planning CT and personalised computerised plan prior to treatment delivery. The Radiotherapy treatment planning team provides comprehensive planning services including CT at both sites, produced on dedicated CT scanners and state-of-the-art treatment planning software. We utilise a variety of in house and commercial software to schedule and monitor patient workflow through the service and we are currently in the process of moving to a paperless system of work.

Main duties of the job
As the Radiotherapy Planning / CT Operations manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of the CT, Planning and pathway navigation sections across the Centre, spending time at both Canterbury and Maidstone sites. You will ensureeffective processes, procedures and communication are in place to monitor and track performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Effectively manage the department to deliver an efficient high-quality service to meet national standards.
- Collaborating as an active member of the Cancer Performance team to ensure cancer targets are met.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our service as we move towards a paperless working.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a management role, to include people management and operational experience.
- Experience as an effective team leader, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Significant experience of working in partnership with other external agencies to develop, implement and evaluate policy and strategy including managing change.
