Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for part time NAHAU Co-ordinator within Administration Unit working at Maidstone Hospital.
An excellent range of secretarial and administrative skills, including a solid knowledge of medical terminology, audio typing experience and excellent customer care experience is essential. The ability to organise your day and work as part of a team are also required. Applicants should be confident, self-motivated and be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties. The applicant should be able to demonstrate an interest to learn new skills. The applicant should ideally have previous medical experience.
Main duties of the job
.The post holder would provide all administrative duties for the services across 3 specialities (Cardiology, Diabetes and Rheumatology), ensuring that all patient appointments and admissions are dealt with efficiently utilising appropriate trust electronic systems. Post holder is responsible for audio typing of clinics within 10 day KPI and booking, cancelling and rescheduling clinics and diagnostic tests.
The post holder is responsible for providing an efficient, organised clerical service to the services, including ensuring that all necessary medical records are available to them for the relevant patient admissions
Work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to meet the needs of patients and their families
The post holder must also assist in the collection, organisation and input of relevant patient data into the local and national databases, working in collaboration with the wider team to ensure that adequate accurate records are kept
The post holder would be responsible for the maintenance and updating of the relevant information (internal server only) as directed by the lead of department
Provide administrative support and co-ordinate booking of diagnostic tests and procedures. Post holder is responsible for audio typing of clinics and booking of clinics.
Undertaking with the AGM, both formal and informal review of the success and the development of this post within the team.
