The team on Hedgehog ward are friendly, supportive and welcoming. Main duties of the job

We currently have a band 5 vacancy within our team on Hedgehog ward which is a 23 bed General Paediatric unit. This is a valuable opportunity for a keen, enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our team of dedicated nurses and doctors who provide an excellent service to the children and their families and carers within the inpatient environment .

You must be a qualified paediatric nurse, able to undertake excellent clinical practices in order to provide patient-centred care to the children and their families/ carers that we look after.

Paediatric services operate between our Inpatient ward, Day Case & Ambulatory Units over 2 sites as well as our Paediatric Emergency Departments. Opportunities for secondment to other areas are available to broaden your nursing experience and skills set.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
