Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, for a hardworking and reliable Employee Relations Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy employee relations team.

You should have excellent administrative skills and be familiar with all Microsoft packages as well as having a pragmatic approach to tasks.

You will provide administration support ensuring the provision of an efficient, effective and timely service, which is compliant with Trust policies and procedures and best practice.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to the role, working alongside all members of the Employee Relations Team, responding to the changing demands of the service.

  • A range of GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths.
  • Diploma level education/CPP or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Administration/office experience in an HR environment.
  • Accurate keyboard skills and computer literacy with particular competency in Microsoft Word for Windows, Outlook Express, PowerPoint, working knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications

Desirable

  • Experience as an HR Assistant.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to draft correspondence, take minutes etc.

  • Completion of a minute-taking course or qualification
