Job summary

The Surgical Division are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Team to work on projects across the Division related to efficiency, productivity coding and counting of activity.

You will play a crucial role in providing support to all our services at both sites including clinical admin units, out-patients, in patient and day case areas to ensure that activity is accurately captured, coded and reported and that clinical services are efficient and productive.

This is a newly established post and offers a great opportunity to work to develop projects and work across the whole Division, whilst gaining experience and developing your management skills

Main duties of the job

o To provide full support to the management team within the Surgical Division, including managing and leading on projects and work streams within the Division on efficiencies, productivity, counting and coding.

o Provide support to all Directorates within Surgery Division to improve efficiency, productivity and income.

o To support the transformation and development of services ensuring all activity is accurately recorded, coded and counted.

o The role will involve day to day operational management supporting administrative processes in CAUs, out-patients, in patient, day case and theatre areas including assisting with the counting and coding of clinical work across the various services.

o Working as part of a wider team, to ensure that the Division meets it financial plans include CIP and ensure that the strategic service meets and achieves national performance indicators; i.e. all quality, activity and financial targets and indicators.
