An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident, highly motivated and inspirational senior children's nurse to join our children's management team. As a Paediatric Matron you will be accountable for coordinating safe, high quality care to improve the experience for children, young people and their families. You will provide senior clinical and professional nursing leadership within the Paediatric Directorate, acting as a positive role model through the provision of effective professional leadership and the demonstration of competent, accountable clinical practice.
This role is integral to planning future developments and the post holder will lead services aimed at improving quality, governance processes whilst optimising the patient and family experience of our service
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for the leadership and development of our specialist areas including Planned care, Children's Outpatients and Transition. The post holder will be required to operationally manage other components of the service including supporting the acute areas as required in the absence of the acute matron.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
