Job summary
We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant (part-time) to work 32.5 hours per week.
You will be required to provide a ward based catering service for patients and assist in the main kitchen, chiller, stores and wash up areas.
You will be responsible for the regeneration, service and clearing of patient meals for approximately 30-38 patients per ward. You will also be required to prepare, serve and clear five patient beverage rounds per day. You will be able to demonstrate good communication and customer care skills, be organised and be able to work on your own initiative.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work 32.5 hours per week on a rotating roster pattern (early shift 7.30am - 2.30pm)m late shift (12.30pm - 7.30pm) 5 days per week, 6.5 hours per day. There is also a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays.
You will be required to provide patients, visitors and staff with a quality meal and beverage service as required. Provide patients, visitors and staff food and beverages in a safe & hygienic manner. To adhere to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
