Job summary

The post holder will support and co-ordinate women's experiences of maternity care in order to influence the development of a safe and high standard of maternity care provision. This will include responsibility for obtaining feedback, analysing public engagement and reporting on feedback with relevant action plans for change.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop the Patient Experience functions to support the Division in the delivery of the Trust Quality Strategy ambitions including robust reporting of Patient Experience data with thematic reviews
  • To work with the senior maternity team to assist in the implementation and operationalization of the national and local policy.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.

Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atEnhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)

  • Registered Midwife
  • Has or working towards a post graduate Masters qualification
  • Competent in the use of computer packages such as Word, PowerPoint and excel software

Desirable

  • Mentor Course or equivalent
  • Leadership course
  • PMA

Knowledge

Essential

  • Able to work as part of a team or autonomously, referring to line manager when appropriate.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Assertiveness skills.
  • Methodical and organised approach to work ensuring the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to deal effectively and appropriately with people at all levels from a broad range of disciplines.
