E.M.E. Services are responsible for the management of the maintenance and repair of medical equipment used by Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, other NHS Trusts, and Private Healthcare providers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic technician to join our busy team looking after our wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment.

Clinical Engineering are responsible for the management, maintenance and repair of medical equipment used by the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, other NHS Trusts and Private Healthcare providers.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Clinical Engineer to join our busy team looking after our wide range of modern diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment that includes: Cardiac Monitoring, Life Support, Infusion Therapy, Ultrasound System, Electro-Surgical Equipment, etc.

You will be supported to develop your knowledge and experience of medical devices through both in-house and OEM training and education courses.

Good communication skills are also essential for working with both customers and suppliers in this rewarding environment.

Ideally you will be a Clinical Engineer experienced in the repair of medical devices, but candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply because we may be able to provide training to support you to reach your potential - subject to a modified job description and pay band.

Clinical Engineering is part of the wider Medical Physics Department. Medical Physics is accredited to deliver training in Clinical Engineering leading to admission to the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT) and is able to provide opportunities for collaborative working and professional development across a wide-range of healthcare science specialisms in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be based at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital and will rotate between the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals. They will also be required to travel to other healthcare providers in both the public and private sector.
