Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Bereavement Services Team. This is a new role combining interpersonal communication skills and supporting non-diagnostic processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily running of the Bereavement Service. You will be a compassionate and motivated person with excellent organisational skills, providing professional and empathetic support to the bereaved. You will be responsible for updating documentation including electronic, so clerical and IT skills are essential. You will work with the Mortuary Team to support with patient care

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be the liaison for bereaved relatives and will work with the nominated individuals and other family members to ensure enquiries are answered swiftly, offer advice and support on what happens after a death has occurred and uphold regulatory processes.
The post holder is expected to work cross site, liaising with the clinicians, ward staff and other related professionals to ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
The post holder will participate in the departmental emergency on-call service once suitably trained and competent.
Due to the varied nature of this role you will need to be flexible, proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work both autonomously and part of a multi-disciplinary team
