Job summary

An exciting opportunity to provide maternity cover within the Business Support Services Division as an Assistant Contracts Manager.

The post holder will oversee the preparation, implementation and performance management of Service Level Agreements the Trust holds with other NHS Trusts for services purchased and services provided.

You will need to demonstrate experience in facilitation of discussions, preparation of documents and meticulous record keeping.

You will have excellent verbal and written, communication skills, be confident in dealing with financial values and leading meetings.

The post is likely to be available from late May 2024 to late March 2025 but this is not confirmed and subject to the substantive post holder's confirmation of leave dates.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will identify agreements for renewal, creation or cessation and will work with Service Leads and NHS partner organisations to create and progress Agreements through to signature. You will work with Service Leads across the Trust to draft, negotiate, and monitor the performance of current Agreements, keeping a central record of Agreements in place.

The post-holder will facilitate quarterly review meetings between NHS partners and internal Service Leads for Agreements and be able to record discussions in minutes and action logs.

You will adopt a system to enable you to manage the life cycle of the Agreements. This will require a pro-active and tenacious approach.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.

  • Demonstrable strong business acumen
