An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and motivated radiotherapy research radiographer to join our research team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
We are looking for a therapeutic radiographer who ideally has experience of working within the research field to join our busy oncology, haematology and radiotherapy research team based within the KOC centre at Maidstone. You will support a number of studies in our research portfolio and primarily be responsible for the recruitment, education and monitoring of the research participants. You will undertake clinical assessments and facilitate the accurate collection and documentation of research data.
The post offers an ideal opportunity for motivated, enthusiastic individuals who wish further their careers in this area. Secondment opportunities will be considered.
Main duties of the job
To be part of a dynamic team of research delivery staff providing clinical trial/research study support service to the Trust, with a focus on the delivery of radiotherapy trials. The role will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of radiotherapy research patients and the collection and documentation of accurate trial data. You will assist medical staff with the recruitment and consent of patients and be a point of contact for both patients and their families once enrolled on studies.
In addition to clinic-based tasks, you will be involved in data collection, adhering to Good Clinical Practice and research governance guidelines and provide safe care to research participants throughout their trial experience.
