Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Contracting & Income Team as a Finance & Contracts Assistant. This is a Trust wide post which is based at Hermitage Court, Hermitage Lane, Maidstone. A short walk from the main Maidstone hospital site.

The working location will be a mix of working from Hermitage Court and working from home on a rota basis.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Contract and Income Team with Independent Sector Provider (ISP) reconciliations and invoice sign off process. As well as overseeing the Low Volume Activity reconciliation process and assisting preparation of month end reporting.

You will work closely with colleagues within the Finance department, Information Analysts, Data Quality team, Clinical Coding Team and ICB/CSU colleagues.

To be successful in this post you will be required to have excellent communication and organisation skills, be able to manage your own workload, work to tight deadlines, have a good eye for detail, have good negotiation skills. Experience of working in an NHS finance environment with knowledge of National Tariff Payment System would be advantageous.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.

We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.

  • AAT - Technician Level or equivalent experience

  • Prior experience of working within a busy financial environment
