Job summary
Maidstone Hospital, situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, covers a large population and includes the regional Oncology centre.
The Histology department carries out a wide range of investigations, primarily in the diagnosis of cancers and provides services for Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trusts, Medway NHS Foundation Trust and Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust.
The department moved to a custom built new facility in May 2011 and is computerised and well equipped. Career development and participation in CPD are actively encouraged.
Main duties of the job
Applications for the above position are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals. This post would suit a self- motivated, enthusiastic individual with good organisational and communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Those without the full qualification requirement will be considered for appointment but under an apprenticeship and candidates not meeting the qualification requirement for this post will be expected to complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship programme.
We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an Apprentice and gain experience in the NHS. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team, gaining valuable work experience and a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Please Note: Government funded apprentices must be aged 16 or above and have been resident in the UK/EU for the last 3 years. You may possess a Degree, Level 4 qualification or above as long as it is in a subject significantly different to this qualification. You must not already be in any form of formal government-funded education.
