We are pleased to share this exciting opportunity for experienced Maternity Support Workers to join our Birth Centre team caring for women/birthing people and families at Crowborough Birth Centre.
This role will involve working with and supporting our friendly teams of experienced Midwives. You will contribute to the delivery of safe and high quality intrapartum and postnatal care to women/birthing people and families within a stand alone Birth Centre.
We are seeking caring, motivated and enthusiastic individuals with sound communication skills and a compassionate approach to providing woman/birthing people and family-centred care. The successful candidate will have recent, relevant experience of working in a care setting.
This role offers the chance to gain and develop a range of invaluable clinical and interpersonal skills and experience, as well as personal and professional development opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Experience of working within a Birth Centre would be advantageous although not essential.
Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust delivers maternity care to over 6000 women per year in our Birth centres at Maidstone and Crowborough, at homebirths with our Community Midwives, as well as in the Obstetric Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Pembury.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts Clinical Induction Programme for Clinical Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the CSW Induction Programme Lead ifthis is going to be problematic: rallen@nhs.net),lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling tobothTrust sites.Theprogramme includes 2 supernumerary shiftsin the clinical area (an early and a late shift),all of the other days are classroom-based andrun from 9am to 5pm
