The Kent Oncology Centre has a vacancy for a Medical Secretary, based at Maidstone Hospital.
You will be part of a dedicated team, committed to delivering a high standard of service to cancer patients. Key responsibility will involve acting as a Medical Secretary for Consultant Oncologists. Key tasks include audio typing, managing and maintaining the diary, updating patient records with correspondence and results and using effective communication skills to liaise with patients, their families and medical, nursing and other administrative staff as necessary; full training will be given.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information and therefore compliance with patient confidentiality is essential at all times. Excellent communication, attention-to-detail and computer skills are required to be able to provide an optimum level of service delivery.

The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
