Job summary

We are pleased to share this exciting opportunity for experienced Maternity Support Worker/ Administrator to join our Antenatal Screening Team caring for women and families at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. This role will involve working with and supporting our friendly teams of experienced Maternity staff and contributing to the delivery of safe and high quality antenatal care to women and families.

We are seeking caring, motivated and enthusiastic individuals with sound communication skills and a compassionate approach to providing woman and family-centred care. The successful candidate will have recent, relevant experience of working in a care setting.

This role offers the chance to gain and develop a range of invaluable clinical and interpersonal skills and experience, as well as personal and professional development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

The job will involve assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the Antenatal Screening Programme, including performing administrative duties as well as skilled clinical procedures such as phlebotomy. You will be a valued member of the team and will assist in maintaining professional and clinical standards.

We are seeking caring, motivated and enthusiastic individuals with sound communication and IT skills, with a keen attention to detail who will assist in providing compassionate women and family-centred care.

The role will include managing and maintaining Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) and Neonatal Blood spot sampling (NNBS) databases and failsafe systems, checking results, Generating fetal casenotes and generally assisting the Specialist Screening Midwives in their duties.

The successful candidate should have recent, relevant experience of working in a care setting.

  • NVQ/Diploma level 3 in Healthcare or an equivalent healthcare qualification (competencies must have been assessed in a healthcare environment)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office qualifications or demonstrable experience
