An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse to provide clinical leadership for the ENT Outpatient department nursing team at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. The Outpatient Directorate is part of Surgery Division within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
The outpatient team isa busy service and often the first point of a patient's contact within the hospital setting thereforea high level of nursing professionalism is of utmost importance in achieving positive patient outcomes.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic nurse who wants to be part of a large and highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. You must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, driven and hardworking. You must be able to use your own initiative whilst also having the ability to work under pressure.
Main duties of the job
To provide and oversee a streamlined patient pathway through the ENT department.
You will need to have a post-registration experience in an acute setting.
You will be working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and offering support to patients and families. We pride ourselves on our high standards and excellent working environment. Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
