Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen as Training Assistant, working with the Operational Flow Directorate. The Post Holder will support the Operational Flow User Experience and Training Lead for Teletracking and other systems. As a team, they will ensure that systems and processes training are delivered across the Trust to support patient flow efficiently and effectively.
You will work with a wide variety of people - on the wards, in teams, in the CCC or Care Coordination Centre, supporting staff to be able to use systems. This will underpin robust patient flow in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. These systems include but not limited to:
- Bed Management system supplied via TeleTracking. This system interfaces to the Allscripts PAS system from Altera.
- Virtual Ward system supplied via Luscii.
You may also be asked to support training staff across the Kent and Medway system, especially where there may be different clinical systems in operation through the variety of providers.
The post holder will need to play an active support role in the continued rollout of training of these systems, developing programmes and presentations.

Main duties of the job
- Following training, assist in ensuring that the current Virtual Ward TeleTracking system interfaces are working satisfactorily and take the necessary steps if this is not the case.
- Assist in organising the production of ad hoc reports as required by either extracting data from the Virtual Ward and TeleTracking system or specifying requirements for development by third parties
- Liaise with key users to ensure that all staff leavers have access to Virtual Ward and TeleTracking system removed.
- Assign user names and passwords to new starters on Virtual Ward and TeleTracking as required following training
- Liaise with MTW IT administrators to ensure that staff changes are notified and received.
- Participate in meetings with key users in the ICC and Ward departments to discuss methods of improving systems and Processes.
- Discuss staff training requirements with key users.
- Draw up training schedules for existing and new staff.
- Attend induction courses and arrange refresher training for all users
- Ensure that new staff are trained adequately to ensure smooth running of the system either by undertaking training.
