Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced Personal Assistant/Secretary to support the Clinical Director and Directorate Team in Ophthalmology.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and professional PA/Secretary who has excellent organisational and communication skills. This would be an ideal opportunity to progress your career within the NHS.
You must be a proficient minute taker with excellent keyboard skills, a detailed understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and previous experience managing busy diaries.
You will be required to manage your own workload whilst working within the Directorate team.
Previous experience working in the NHS would be an advantage but not essential.
Part time or job share would be considered.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a committed individual with good organisational skills who would enjoy working with the Ophthalmology Management team. The individual would need to be able to be able to work under their own initiative.
The Individual would be responsible for providing secretarial support to the Clinical Director, Clinical Leads, Matrons and operational management team.
Good communication, problem solving and IT skills are essential. An ability to work within a busy environment would be a requirement to fulfil this role. You would be required to work autonomously on occasions.
