Job summary

We are looking to recruit experienced Reporting Radiographers to join the current well-established team of both Chest and MSK Reporters.

You will need to be a state registered Radiographer and will have to hold an accredited post graduate qualification in clinical reporting. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be committed to providing high quality x-ray reports.

Radiographic Reporting sessions will be scheduled though the working week and will include 7-day GP hot reporting sessions across our 2 acute sites and the new Community Diagnostic Centre.

This is an exciting time to join the reporting radiographer team at MTW. We have established Consultant Radiographer practice in interventional and nuclear medicine imaging. At MTW, the reporting radiographers are integrated into the sub-speciality teams providing opportunity for complex case discussion with Consultant Radiologists and Consultant practitioners. This also provides the support required for both knowledge and career development as part of a team approach.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical expertise in Radiology by reporting radiographic images undertaken in the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Providing a cost effective and safe reporting service to patients of the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust

Reporting radiographers will deliver a high quality, effective and efficient x-ray reporting service to the highest professional standards. To be part of a 7 day 'hot' reporting rota for both A&E images and GP x-ray requests. The work pattern will entail a majority of clinical reporting sessions, the rest will comprise audit, research, clinical governance, teaching and clinical radiography.

Reporting radiographers are expected to work across all Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust sites, supporting the X-ray service.

  • Health Care Professions Council Registered
  • Evidence of on-going further personal and professional development related to Radiographer Reporting
