Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a full time/Part time Support Secretary within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Clinical Administration Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
This particular vacancy will be supporting the Orthopaedic service; knowledge of orthopaedic medical terminology will be beneficial however not essential. The ideal candidate will have exceptional secretarial skills and proven experience audio typing with a medical background. The role will also involve assisting the team in booking outpatient clinic appointments so knowledge of appointments, clinics and waiting lists will also be beneficial.
You should demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, be self-motivated, able to prioritise a busy workload, work to deadlines, have a flexible approach to duties and hold a relevant secretarial / audio / word-processing qualification ideally with previous NHS /medical experience however this is not essential.
The interview will consist of a short typing test and a formal interview.
Main duties of the job
A good range of secretarial skills, including knowledge of medical terminology and audio word-processing/typing is required. The ability to organise your day, prioritise your tasks and work as part of a team are also desirable. You should be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties. You should also hold relevant secretarial / audio / word-processing qualification and ideally have previous NHS / medical experience.
