An exciting opportunity has arisen to become Endoscopy Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner and manage a team of 8 Clinical Endoscopists across our two Endoscopy Units at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
MTW Endoscopy is a JAG accredited unit and recently awarded with JAG training centre status: the Endoscopy training Hub for Kent and Medway, part of the South-East Endoscopy Academy.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who will be responsible for managing the team of clinical endoscopists supporting their development towards a recognised advanced clinical support role and the commitment to the 4 pillars; providing leadership across the Team, setting and auditing standards of endoscopy , ensuring that they are evidence based and reflect best practice conforming to JAG/GRS standardsYou will provide senior strategic and operational support of the endoscopy service working closely with the divisional teams and creating workable solutions, providing highly expert advice and advanced level decision making.You will be an advanced clinical expert in the specialist field of endoscopy advising on a broad range of complex issues, practicing with autonomy at an advanced clinical level and exercising high levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care. They will provide clinical leadership, expert practice and advanced knowledge, acting as an expert resource both internally to the Trust and externally in relation with the other Trust in the region implementing mutual aid and collaboration strategies where needed.You must have a clear understanding of how this role contributes to the achievement of the Trust vision of "Exceptional people, Outstanding care "and are expected to reflect the Trust values.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please emailmtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.netif this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atEnhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
