Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust currently have a number of opportunities for clinical support workers within their Temporary Staffing Service.
The position will cover wards at both the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury and Maidstone Hospital.
Both sites encompass many nurse led initiatives including caring for patients requiring non-invasive ventilation, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment. We are lucky to have a range of dynamic clinical nurse specialists and sisters who support the clinical teams. This post offers the opportunity to learn and develop acute care nursing skills when the patients are at their sickest, early in their hospital stay.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.

Job responsibilities
You will be expected to attend the Trusts Clinical Induction Programme for Clinical Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the CSW Induction Programme Lead if this is going to be problematic: rallen@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes 2 supernumerary shifts in the clinical area (an early and a late shift), all of the other days are classroom-based and run from 9am to 5pm.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check atenhanced level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children).
