Job summary
We are looking for a proactive and hardworking Retention Officer to join our recently formed Retention Team. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, with ever changing priorities and a diverse workload this may be the role for you.
As the ideal candidate, you will be able to manage your own workload, be able to work to deadlines and be confident liaising with internal and external contacts at all levels.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside various teams within the trust, including HR Staff, Finance Staff, Ward / Department Managers and Trust Management, collating data, providing guidance and assistance to aid the retention of Trust staff.
Main duties of the job
- Provide advice and guidance to clients as required in relation to the retention of staff.
- To assist in the monitoring, collation, and reporting of retention data for the Trust, ensuring compliance with policies and SLA's at all times.
- To develop and maintain effective professional working relationships with internal and external contacts including team colleagues, HR Staff, IT Staff, Finance Staff, Ward / Department Managers / Team Leaders, Trust management and Trust staff and external clients / service providers.
- Ensure data integrity at all times and that regular data housekeeping is maintained.
- Participate in events / drop in sessions / retention initiatives as required, taking a lead role in retention, and providing full HR input, advice and guidance to Managers and Staff
- Identify opportunities, advice, lead and coordinate staff retention events and campaigns
- Ensure all information and documentation produced is compliant with Data Protection and Information Governance requirements.
- Participate in the review of departmental practices and systems in order to facilitate ongoing improvement.
- Implement recognition and appreciation programs across the organisation.
- Ascertain ways the organisation and managers can be more transparent with employees.
